Welcome to Heartbeat of the Valley, Inc

Family is Priority

Heartbeat of the Valley is a Pregnancy Help Center and Family Support Center, with it's main location in Scott Depot, WV. Our center specializes in helping expectant moms of all ages. We are a Pro-Life organization that does not refer anyone to abortion services, but instead, we come along side and support our moms with education, support groups, and all of the tangible items that they need to be a successful parent. As a Pro-Life organization, we do not refer or associate with organizations that advocate for abortion, and we are proud to offer our free education services that focus on teaching parent's valuable life skills to either keep their babies or find adoption agencies for them. What's our secret? We rely on our community and services, including other local resources, offering support groups, activities, tangible assistance, combined with family education classes. By doing that, we ensure that each parent, no matter their background or age, gets insightful information on how to improve their life skills and be the best possible parent for their family.

Parents from Every Background

Our team of professionals is formed by parents from different backgrounds, and each has great communication skills and vast experience working with all kinds of parents, no matter if you're a foster or single parent, a grandmother raising your grandchildren or a two-parent home. Our core program was designed to help SINGLE or FIRST TIME young moms through the course of their pregnancy and through the first few years of having to learn to care for a baby and toddler. We now do ALL of the age groups and help moms with their children from being an expectant mom to a mom of a high school child! We are taking clients at our Scott Depot location AND we are always looking for volunteers and like-minded people to help our organization grow and help more people, so don't shy away from joining us today!

Helpful Support Groups

We know it's easier to be a successful learner when you're equipped with the support that you need. We strive to create a sense of community and believe that our support groups are the perfect place to grow and help each other to polish their life skills together. We offer a group for young single moms, moms in a two-parent home, foster mom support, kinship/grandparent support, and a teen girls group called Stepping Stones for 12 to 18 years old. A few other groups are Step Up, Hope With Heartbeat, and a new group for moms of children with disabilities. Book an appointment today to hear about all of our Support Groups!

Heartbeat was not what I expected! I needed just a little help but they went so far beyond my expectations! I'm learning things that I THOUGHT I already knew! Highly recommend this program to anyone with kids.

They have done a lot with my service coordinator to help my low-income tenants meet their needs. Great services.
